David Greenwood
David Greenwood, Solicitor David Greenwood heads a dedicated team of lawyers working with Psychologists and Barristers to obtain compensation and to assist survivors of child sexual abuse plan their future.
David leads the Child Abuse Team at Switalskis Solicitors and has been involved in helping people who experienced childhood abuse since 1992. He has focused exclusively on this area since 1998. He has co-ordinated many complex cases, including large group actions and claims against the Catholic church, local authorities, and other organisations. He has been instrumental in changing the law and is a prominent campaigner for justice for survivors of child abuse, regularly appearing to comment on TV and radio. He is Chairman of the Stop Church Child Abuse campaign, and a member of three other support organisations: Minister And Clergy Sexual Abuse Survivors (MACSAS), Survivors Voice Europe, and Care Leavers Voice. David is accredited by the Law Society (Personal Injury accreditation scheme), is a Fellow of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), and an Executive Member of the Association of Child Abuse Lawyers. He was the Eclipse Proclaim Claimant Personal Injury Solicitor of the Year in 2012, and leads the team which won the Eclipse Proclaim Claimant Personal Injury Team of the Year in 2013. He has gone on to win numerous further awards for his work in the last decade. His focus is on promoting the rights of abuse survivors.
