Experience in cases brought on behalf of a survivor of abuse
I have been doing PI abuse work since 2006 and about 25% or more of my caseload since then has been abuse work. Withjout wanting to tempt fate, I can honestly say that, to date, I have not lost an abuse case (although I did have to discontinue one pre-proceedings some years ago when investigations revealed less merit than originally thought). The high-point of my career in abuse work was my case of C v Middlesbrough in the House of Lords in 2008, which was one of the cases heard together with the very well-known and widely reported case of A v Hoare, which changed the law on limitation in abuse cases.

Experience in similar types of cases, i.e. Family Mental Health work, Child Care, Education, Cases against Local Authorities
All of my legal experience has been in PI (including catastrophic PI, abuse work and clinical negligence). I have had claims against local; authorites and the police, but always within the PI field. Some cases, such as one of my current abuse claims, have had aspects of education law to them. I have also conducted CICA claims for general PI and abuse claimants.
